Call for Posters
Poster Session B: Projects and initiatives in the field of professional
development of adult and continuing education staff
The conference programme includes a poster session on the second day (4th
May) where good practice examples – national and international projects and
initiatives in in the field of professional development of adult and continuing
education staff will be presented. The session will provide a good opportunity
to present current initiatives in an informal and interactive setting which
encourages discussions, and to learn more about innovative approaches in other
countries.
A written summary of the project/initiative presented in the poster session
will be distributed to all conference participants and will be included in the
conference documentation.
Topics of interest
The posters are meant to provide information about projects and initiatives
relating to the professional preparation and updating of staff working in adult
and continuing education. The focus is not only on teachers but on all kinds of
professional activity in this sector: management, leadership, counselling,
organisational and technical support etc. Posters presenting both work in
progress and well-established good practice are welcome.
Presented projects/initiatives might deal for example with one of the
following :
- development of education and training
courses
- development of professional competence
profiles and standards
- research on professional skills needs
- ...
Practical Details:
Abstract submission:
Abstracts of planned poster presentations should be submitted through the
by 29 March.
Accepted authors will be notified at the latest by 3 April.
Written Summary
Accepted presenters are required to submit a summary of their project/initiative
(1000-1500 words) to be distributed to the conference participants. Deadline: 23
April. By sending your summary you agree to publication of the text on the
conference website as well as to a possible inclusion in the print publication
to be prepared after the conference.
Poster printing
Presenters are welcome to send a file (pdf or ppt) to the organisers who will
take care of the printing. Deadline: 16 April. The standard poster format is A 1
vertical.
If you include graphs or pictures in your poster – which is strongly
recommended – make sure that the dpi resolution is sufficiently high.
Alternatively presenters can bring their own printed posters to the
conference.
Poster session
Poster can be put on display on 4th May between 10 am and 2 pm.
The poster session itself will take place on the same day, 5 – 6 pm. Presenters
are required to be present during the whole poster session.
If you require space for display of additional print materials or wish to use
a laptop for a computer presentation please indicate your technical requirements
in the submission form.
